NRW Holdings announced that its wholly owned subsidiary RCR Mining Technologies has been awarded a A$27.2 million contract for the design and construction of a primary crushing plant at Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine in Western Australia.
Last year, the company successfully delivered a Hopper 9 crushing facility to the iron ore mine.
RCR Mining is partnering with Primero Group, which will provide engineering support and construction services for the primary crushing plant.
“This project will be complimentary and concurrent to the Solomon Hub conveyor and crushing plant we are currently delivering for Fortescue Metals Group, announced earlier this year,” said NRW in a released statement.
NRW subsidiaries RCR Mining Technologies and DIAB Engineering, together with Primero, bring a very strong design, manufacture and construction capability to the project with an engineering-led philosophy of solutions and innovation.
“I’m delighted that our Minerals Energy and Technology team of RCR Mining Technologies, DIAB and Primero are able to collaborate once again on another project for Fortescue and continue to innovate through smarter engineering solutions,” said NRW Chief Executive Jules Pemberton.
