THE inaugural Indonesia Miner next April represents an exciting new event for the country’s developing mining industry. Continuing the themes of the Regional Technical Conference series, Indonesia Miner will examine ways that the industry can enhance its development.

The event will be held in Jakarta on April 11 and 12 and will feature four conference streams focused on various aspects of mining and how it pertains to Indonesia.

The streams are: Indonesia Mining Projects; Surface and Underground Mining; Mine Haulage; and Mineral Processing.

The Indonesia Mining Projects stream will focus on the mining outlook for the country, including government policies, investment opportunities and updated project showcases.

The Surface and Underground Mining stream will explore the latest technological operational developments in blasting, safety, mine design, operation automation and reclamation.

It will also focus on improving efficiency and lowering costs in challenging underground mining environments. Among the topics covered will be new technologies, automation, reliability, maintenance and safety.

Mine Haulage will focus on real world solutions that help keep operations efficient, safe and profitable. Topics will include automation, fleet optimisation, safety, technology and maintenance.

In the Mineral Processing stream attendees will learn about recent developments, technologies and techniques for mineral processing. The technical program will focus on practical methods of optimising plant processes to achieve better results from crushing, grinding, gravity separation, mineral liberation and tailings disposal.

Indonesia Miner is being organised by the team that is behind the established publication and online news service that is The ASIA Miner. The team also organises the Regional Technical Conference series, which includes Sumatra Miner, as well as the Djakarta Mining Club and Coal Club Indonesia.
