Engineering company Monadelphous said it secured a major contract for the construction of the chemical grade lithium plant 3 (CGP3) at Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes site in Western Australia.

The multidisciplinary contract is valued at A$160 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, Monadelphous will install a new crushing and screening facility and lithium concentrate processing plant, including associated tank and piping fabrication works and electrical supply.

Monadelphous said work will commence onsite later this year and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2025.

In 2019, Mondium, a 60/40 joint venture between Monadelphous and Lycopodium, secured a A$100 million contract with Talison for the design and construction of a tailing retreatment processing plant at Greenbushes.
