The addition of the two new machines, which bring the number of R 9200s operating at the mine to three, will support Karunia as it steadily increases production on site.

"From the outset of our partnership, Liebherr has accompanied us in all aspects of our work,” said Noval Asfihani, president director of Karunia.

“Liebherr’s first-class support, coupled with the exceptional performance of its equipment, is precisely what has enabled us to achieve our targets with confidence.”

Liebherr Indonesia and Karunia began their partnership in 2021 with the commissioning of an R 9100 mining excavator. Karunia’s fleet of Liebherr mining equipment has grown over time, with deliveries of both 100- and 200-t excavators, 70-t dozers, and the first R 9300 validation unit. Four more R 9300s will be delivered to Karunia between late 2023 and early 2024.
