Epiroc has announced its acquisition of Brisbane, Australia-based ground engaging tools (GET) supplier CR.
The deal, for which financial details were not released, expands Epiroc to what it called a first-rate standing for essential consumables and digital solutions.
CR’s product line-up include cast lips, teeth and protective shrouds for mining buckets and loaders and its digital solutions include, among other offerings, the real-time GET loss detection system GET Trakka and the Titan 3330 payload management system. The company’s GET offerings, all told, cover both surface and underground mining.
“This acquisition will expand our offering of innovative and high-quality consumables and digital solutions that strengthen customers’ productivity and safety,” said president and CEO Helena Hedblom.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2023.
