Australian service provider Schlam has tapped David Haslett as its board chairperson, succeeding Colin Bell.

Schlam Board Chaiperson David HaslettThe appointment was effective 1 February. Bell has since stepped back to be a director of the company after serving as a chairperson since February 2021, and Haslett has served as a director of the board since August 2021. 

Haslett was president and CEO of CQMS Razer (CR Mining) for over nine years; after the business was sold, he was executive chairman for six months to back the transition to new owners and management.

“David’s long history of leadership, coupled with his global experience makes him an ideal person for this role. We thank Colin for his guidance over the last seven months and we’re glad that he will be remain on the board as a director and to support David through the transition,” said Schlam CEO Matt Thomas.
