The Djakarta Mining Club is preparing to host the webinar “Maximising Indonesia’s Nickel Ore Reserves” on Thursday, 10 June.
The event, moderated by DMC and Coal Club Indonesia Vice Chairman Ben Lawson, will include vital information on the Indonesian vision for nickel, including demand, operational and transportation challenges from regulatory and industry players, and the processing element of the sector.
Speakers in the webinar include:
- Septian Hario Seto, Deputy of Investment and Mining Coordination to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs, Republic of Indonesia.
- Rajiv Biswas, Chief Economist Asia Pacific, IHS Markit.

The specific webinar topics include Indonesia’s Vision for Nickel Ore Mining and Processing Industry; Nickel Ore Mining Operations; Challenges for Mining Contractors moving from Coal to Metals – How to adapt to meet operational requirements?; and Domestic Barging – Challenges to transporting Limonite and Saprolite Ore.
