Underground mines now have a new loader option with Sandvik’s release of the Toro LH410, offering 10 tonnes of payload capacity with a smaller presence.

sandvik torolh410Sandvik, which has promised 2021 to be an “eventful” year for its loaders and trucks, said the Toro LH410 has superior lift height versus any other in its same size class – and performance for high ramp speeds and fast bucket filling.

The new release is based on the Sandvik LH410. Featured on the renewed loader: the Sandvik Intelligent Control System with a 7-in. touchscreen display, and availability of multiple different diesel engines from a powerful, fuel-efficient Tier II to a Stage V engine option.

“With all its features, this truly is an advanced and intelligent piece of equipment, definitely comparable to the large i-series loaders – but naturally in a smaller package,” said Kimmo Ulvelin, product line manager, small and low-profile loaders at Sandvik.

“We want to offer our customers possibilities for sophisticated and intelligent equipment also in the middle size class; therefore, Toro LH410 has the same Sandvik Intelligent Control System as the large Toro LH517i and Toro LH621i loaders, with the available traction control, operator speed assist and integrated weighing system, to name a few.

Toro LH410, Ulvelin added, is fully compatible with AutoMine solutions. Upgrades on the machine include improved access, new fire suppression options, a new retrieval hook and am updated door interlock.

Sandvik said it will be announcing new product launches and upgrades to further strengthen the Toro line over the coming year.
