Global supplier of business intelligence for the resources sector, Intierra Resource Intelligence, has acquired the Swedish-based Raw Materials Group (RMG). All RMG staff will be employed with the new entity to create one of the industry’s largest and most comprehensive database groups to deliver mission-critical data, reports, consultancy services and industry briefings.
Intierra provides business intelligence for the international mineral resources sector by delivering context-rich information to industry professionals across the globe. Its solutions offer unique insights into exploration, tenement ownership, company evaluations, M&A, risk management, due diligence, competitor intelligence and project pipeline evaluation.
Founded in 1885, RMG has built up an extensive database and team of mineral economists and policy analysts to provide in-depth mining research and analysis to international governments, organizations and private clients. RMG is a pioneer in mine and smelter production, ownership data compilation and analysis.
Intierra’s chief executive officer Peter Rossdeutscher says the acquisition has created a resource intelligence powerhouse. “Bringing together the two leading suppliers of resource sector information affords clients an unrivalled blend of knowledge, advisory experience and analytical expertise.
“With the world’s most complete resource sector database at their core, our combined services and capabilities allow clients to better forecast and benchmark their business performance.”
RMG’s chief executive officer Magnus Ericcson says, “We are delighted that Intierra and RMG have joined forces. The new entity is a perfect combination of information, analytical skill and global reach that will provide mining companies, governments and organizations with the information they need to optimize their strategies and policies.”
