An impressive list of guest speakers at Hong Kong’s major annual mining finance and investment conference has been announced. Mines & Money Hong Kong is regarded as Asia’s largest event hosting the world’s leading mining companies and industry veterans.
Guest speakers for the 2012 event include Ivanhoe Mines’ Robert Friedland, Fortescue Metals Group’s Nev Power, Denham Capital director Bert Koth, China-Africa Development Fund’s Liliang Tang and G-Resources’ executive vice-chairman Owen Hegarty.
Demand for the 2012 conference has prompted organizers to expand the program and floor plan to feature more than 300 mining companies, 150 international speakers and 95 company spotlight presentations, giving 2500 delegates networking opportunities with senior-level mining and investment executives.
Organizers expect a record number of deals will be struck at the March 19-23 conference, with 95% of available tickets for the five-day event already sold.
“The event is becoming as important a destination for Australian resource companies as PDAC is for North America and Indaba is for Africa,” said the senior institutional dealer of Argonaut Securities Damian Rooney.
Visitors to Hong Kong for the conference will also have the chance to enjoy one of the greatest international sporting occasions, with the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens being held in the same week.
To receive a US$500 discount on the 5-day pass fee, delegates need to book before January 20.
