German-based intralogistics company Beumer Group has established an independent company in Australia to enhance its presence and support for local customers.
Beumer is regarded as the leading provider of technology for conveying and loading, palletizing and packaging as well as sortation and distribution. It now employs about 3000 people and has been growing during the last two years, with the acquisition of key airport baggage technology company Crisplant in Denmark during 2009 and India’s cement giant Enexco Teknologies in September 2011.
Beumer supplies products and service to dozens of worldwide customers across industries including cement, lime, gypsum, chemical, fertilizer, mining, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, airports, package, parcel and mail order business.
Its new Australian company arm is at Belrose, north of Sydney.
