INDONESIA - Churchill fall-out affects reputation: President

A US$2 billion lawsuit filed against the Indonesian government for failing to honour the terms of a UK investment in a Kalimantan coal project could scare off future investors as the country’s reputation reels in the international mining sector. Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has conceded to his Cabinet the dispute has affected his standing as head of state and added to Indonesia’s reputation as a risky investment destination.  1

INDONESIA - G-Resources gears up for first Martabe gold

G-Resources Group has achieved major commissioning milestones to remain on schedule for the first gold pour from its Martabe gold-silver project in Indonesia this month. Construction of the crusher and conveyors is complete with first ore feed delivered to the stockpile in mid-June.  1

INDONESIA - New eastern BBM target for Cokal

Cokal has estimated the exploration target at the Eastern block of its Bumi Barito Mineral (BBM) site at between 200-350 million tonnes. The estimate is based on the coal occurrences less than 200 metres deep but does not include the 60 million tonne inferred resource announced in December 2011.  1
