The Indonesian Mining Association, in conjunction with Australia's Monash University, is conducting the inaugural ‘Survey of Mining Industry Perception in Indonesia’.

Indonesian Mining Association chairman Martiono Hadianto says the research is being conducted to identify how effectively Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining is being implemented and what impact it is having on investors.

The association invites mining companies and others involved in the mining industry in Indonesia, or considering involvement in Indonesia, to complete the survey.

Martiono Hadianto says all companies that participate in the survey will receive a free copy of the report which will be published in July 2011. “This is not a commercial product and the results will not be used for profit.”
