BAUXITE - 'Brown Sugar' at Binjour

Bauxite exploration and development company Australian Bauxite Limited has received laboratory results from the last 14 holes drilled at its Binjour project between Gayndah and Mundubbera, south of Gladstone in central Queensland.

Of the 14 holes drilled in the last phase of drilling in 2010, 11 holes intersected a thick layer of bauxite. Results from these 11 holes include exceptionally high grade, suggesting relatively pure gibbsite bauxite, ideal as a 'sweetener' to any bauxite refinery.

CHINA - 18 rigs drilling at Beiya North

Asia Now Resources now has 18 rigs drilling for resource definition of the Beiya North high-grade gold/silver and base metal zone at the Beiya project, which is regarded as one of the top 10 high-potential prospects in China by the China Geologic Survey.

The company is starting its next phase of drilling following the end of the Chinese New Year. Drilling is focusing on following up recent successful drilling results that confirmed the continuity of the main mineralized zone over 1200 metres long by 350 to 620 metres wide, and it remains open. The drilled area is a part of the 13km-long by 2km-wide gold belt, two-thirds of which belongs to the company's joint venture.
