Griffin Mining has appointed Michael Hulmes as general manager of the Caijiaying Mine in China. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the mining industry having held senior management roles in Australia, Portugal, Papua New Guinea and Saudi Arabia.
Nautilus Minerals has appointed Gavin Vandervegt as acting chief financial officer and corporate secretary. He was previously the company’s group financial controller. Before joining Nautilus, he was finance director of Katanga Mining.

Australia’s national resource industry employer group, AMMA (Australian Mines and Metals Association), has appointed experienced workplace relations and employment law practitioner Amanda Mansini to the role of director, workplace relations. She has previously worked within the Australian Industrial Relations Commission and for law firms Freehills and McCullough Robertson.
Hatch has appointed Dale Harris as regional director for iron ore in Australia-Asia. He has a strong track record enhancing operations performance with Karara Mining, Rio Tinto and Gindalbie Metals. The company also recently appointed Damien Harding as director Performance Innovation and Dr Walter Valery as global director of Mining and Mineral Processing Technology in Australia-Asia.
Southern Arc Minerals announces that Vincent Boon, currently the company’s controller, will succeed Danny Lee as chief financial officer.
Markku Teräsvasara assumes the duties of Outotec CEO on October 1, 2016. He transfers from Atlas Copco, where he led the Mining and Rock Excavation Service Division in Sweden and previously the Surface Drilling Equipment Division based in China.

Kingsrose Mining advises that Bill Phillips has retired as a director and an executive of the company. A founding director, he had been on the Board since 2005.
