MYANMAR Metals plans to begin a new program of drilling in January leading to an updated mineral resource estimate at the Bawdwin polymetallic project in Myanmar. The company intends to produce a new estimate for the zinc, lead, silver and copper project in the second quarter of 2018.

Drilling targets Awak Mas mine corridor

Nusantara Resources has started diamond drilling focusing on the mine corridor at the Awak Mas Gold Project in Sulawesi, Indonesia. The phase one exploration program is designed to test for extensions to the defined mineralisation at the Awak Mas and Salu Bulo deposits and explore for structural repetitions along the intervening corridor.

Exploration success continues at Aucu

WHITE Cliff Minerals has completed 12 reverse circulation holes for 1400 metres at its Aucu Gold Project in the Kyrgyz Republic. Four-metre composite samples from the drilling have been submitted to a laboratory near Bishkek and in early October the company was awaiting results.

DRILLING by Myanmar Metals at the Bawdwin Lead-Zinc-Silver-Copper Project in Myanmar has highlighted the potential for the project to be redeveloped as a large-scale mining operation. The company says the forthcoming mineral resource estimate and scoping study will further assess this potential.
