• CAMBODIA - 1.2 million ounce gold resource at Okvau

    A new independent JORC-compliant indicated and inferred resource has been announced at Renaissance Minerals’ flagship Okvau gold deposit in eastern Cambodia. The company says the site hosts 15.6 million tonnes @ 2.4 grams/tonne gold for 1.2 million ounces of gold, of which 15.2 million tonnes @ 2.3 grams/tonne gold for 1.11 million ounces is in the indicated category.  1

  • CHINA - China Gold helps with Tibet landslide

    China Gold International Resources and its controlling shareholder China National Gold Group Corporation have deployed machinery and team members to help free the bodies of mine workers buried at Ze Ri Mountain in the Tibet Autonomous Region after a major landslide which is believed to have cost 83 lives. The landslide occurred on March 29, dumping about 2 million cubic metres of rock and debris over an area 3km in length near Si Bu village.  1

  • GOLD - Crocodile Gold says Big Hill PEA is positive

    Monument Mining has announced an NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate for the Alliance/New Alliance areas of the Murchison Gold Project in Western Australia. An indicated resource has been reported of 1.13 million tonnes @ 2.2 grams/tonne gold for 80,400 ounces and an inferred resource of 5000 tonnes @ 2.2 grams/tonne for 3200 ounces.

    Assay results from a third diamond drill hole at Robust Resources’ Purple Heart prospect on Romang Island have confirmed a significant intersection of gold and silver mineralization. The intersection measures 64 metres from surface and defines a continuous zone of mineralization between two previous holes.  1

  • INDONESIA - High grade gold intersected at Tanoyan

    High grade gold mineralization has been intersected in the central Sondana vein at Reliance Resources’ 75%-owned Tanoyan Gold Project on Sulawesi Island. A recent hole intersected 6.2 metres @ 8.1 grams/tonne gold within a broad zone of 42.95 metres @ 1.6 grams/tonne.
