Goldminex Resources has underpinned its change of strategic direction with its intention to acquire a technology business - the Enzumo Group of Companies. Enzumo configures third party software systems, and develops, sells, implements and maintains proprietary commercial software tools for the financial planning and advisory industry.
Goldminex says the acquisition will also form the basis for the development of a leading Australian financial technology and e-learning company. The new-look company will combine the existing growth company enterprise of Goldminex’s continuing directors Niall Cairns and Phillip Carter with the proven track record and industry knowledge of the Enzumo founders of whom Andrew Rawlinson will join the Board.
Enzumo Group was founded in 2004 and has become a leading provider of financial planning software consulting, customization and workflow solutions, e-learning management systems and e-learning content to the financial planning and advisory industry. Enzumo works with clients to customize, implement and support efficiency improvements to their financial planning software.
In late 2013 and early 2014 Goldminex carried out a review of its PNG exploration activities to assess ongoing priorities and rationalize the tenement portfolio. Following this it has sought new exploration partners for its remaining portfolio of prospects without success and it has also sought prospective resource projects and non-resource businesses capable of creating significant value for shareholders.
