JCB at Mining Indonesia

JCB South East Asia exhibited for the first time at Mining Indonesia 2015 from September 9 to 12 at the Jakarta International Expo Centre. JCB unveiled new machines specifically designed for the Asian mining, construction and infrastructure market and presented an innovative new telematics machine tracking/monitoring device. The exhibition also saw the JCB Dancing Diggers Show performed for the first time in Asia.

Second IMARC in November

The second annual International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) will be held in Melbourne, Australia in November with more than 3000 delegates expected and in excess of 100 company exhibitors representing around 35 countries. The conference and expo will be at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 10-12 and there will be workshops on November 9 and 13.

Need to service new markets

SERVICING larger markets outside Australia is seen as important for the Australian METS sector with a number of companies achieving growth by servicing markets in Asia, Africa, South America and other overseas destinations. Evidence of the importance of Australian METS expertise to the global mining industry was demonstrated at AIMEX by the presence of international delegations and visitors.

AIMEX focus on better productivity

While lower exhibitor numbers and falling attendance at the Asia-Pacific region’s largest mining event, AIMEX 2015 in Sydney from September 1-4, are indicative of difficult times for the mining industry, it was very evident from exhibitors and attendees that more efficient production is the key to maintaining and developing business.
