International events organiser Montgomery Asia announced new dates for its flagship geospatial and location intelligence event for Southeast Asia, Geo Connect Asia. The event will take place 24-25 March 2021 at Suntec Singapore.
Themed “Global Solutions for Asia’s Geospatial & Location Intelligence Markets”, Geo Connect Asia 2021 will be a focal point for the burgeoning ASEAN geospatial industry. It builds on the diverse themes and partnerships forged in the lead-up to Geo Connect Asia 2020, and will also feature an expansive yet refocused programme of seminars, co-located events and other activities specially curated for the relevant industries and sectors.
Rupert Owen, Montgomery Asia event director and co-founder, said, “We are delighted to announce the relaunch of Geo Connect Asia, a landmark event for the Southeast Asian geospatial and location intelligence space. We had a groundswell of industry backing for Geo Connect Asia 2020, and we appreciate the strong support we received leading up to and following the unfortunate postponement of the 2020 event.”
Mr Owen continued, “Geo Connect Asia 2021 will see an increasing number of international exhibitors and leading industry players coming to Southeast Asia to provide technology solutions to the growing ASEAN market, making it the must-attend trade exhibition for geospatial industry stakeholders not only in Southeast Asia but also from all over the world. As the region’s economies look to rebuild momentum, geospatial technologies and the associated data spinoffs will play a vital role in improving decision-making and accountability for both governments and enterprise in a post-Covid-19 world.”
Geo Connect Asia 2021 will feature the two-day GCA21 Conference themed “Mapping the data-driven future economy”, a half-day forum titled The Connected Mine Forum and themed “How to put the Digital into Mining”, as well as a two-day Tech Talk and a Product Showcase.
In addition, Montgomery Asia will be featuring two complementary industry profiles under the umbrella of the main Geo Connect Asia event. They will each provide visitors with a forum devoted to industry verticals that are seeing accelerating demand for geospatial technologies and location intelligence.
Digital Construction Asia (DCA) ٢٠٢١ is themed, “Delivering digital solutions to the built environment”, and will focus on the use of geospatial technologies to build smarter, greener and with integrated solutions; these will introduce best practices and solutions to address growing demand for an increasingly digitalised building and construction industry.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Asia ٢٠٢١ will focus on the commercial applications of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles for specific markets where improvements in geospatial data collection, location intelligence, and imagery will enable enhancements in resource management and local, regional and national decision-making.
Geo Connect Asia 2021 is set to draw more than 80 international exhibitors and 2,500 professional visitors from the region and beyond.
