The underground grade drilling program at the Irumafimpa deposit of K92 Mining’s Kainantu Gold Project in Papua New Guinea has intersected high-grade gold in multiple holes. A number of the latest results are important as they show wide, high-grade intersections less than 20 metres from the drill cuddy.

The company has received results from 11 diamond drill holes completed in the ongoing program.

The best results are 8.2 metres from 4.8 metres @ 24.65 g/t gold equivalent and 3.2 metres from 14.5 metres @ 4.77 g/t gold equivalent in one hole; and 4 metres from 3.7 metres @ 60.57 g/t gold equivalent, including 1 metre @ 77.79 g/t gold equivalent and 1 metre @ 95.3 g/t gold equivalent in another hole. The assays include gold, silver and copper mineralisation.

K92’s chief executive officer Ian Stalker said, “The latest grade control drilling results include some of the widest that we have seen to date at Irumafimpa. Importantly in both places, these intersections commence less than 20 metres from the drill cuddy.”

Other strong gold equivalent results are: 4.96 metres from 36.94 metres @ 6.14 g/t, including 0.8 metres @ 30.0 g/t; 8.0 metres from 39 metres @ 5.23 g/t, including 0.2 metres @ 35.83 g/t and 1.10 metres @ 5.75 g/t; 5.29 metres from 64 metres @ 4.37 g/t, including 0.7 metres @ 7.20 g/t and 0.49 metres @ 6.61 g/t; 4.7 metres from 32.2 metres @ 3.26 g/t, including 1 metre @ 4.23 g/t; 0.6 metres from 35.4 metres @ 17.8 g/t; 1 metre from 65 metres @ 10.27 g/t; 2.7 metres from 2 metres @ 7.43 g/t, including 0.95 metres @ 16.52; and 3.2 metres from 14.5 metres @ 4.77 g/t, including 0.3 metres @ 19.11 g/t.
