Mining Media International’s (MMI) two mining clubs based in Indonesia, Djakarta Mining Club and Coal Club Indonesia, will celebrate their third anniversary with a function in Jakarta on Thursday, April 28.
The combined networking dinner, which features a prominent guest speaker from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), will be held at The Dharmawangsa Hotel from 6pm to 9pm.
The two mining clubs meet quarterly and attract mining industry professionals as well as those from mining service companies. The clubs provide a venue for networking, sharing experiences and discussion on the industry.
Guest speaker at the anniversary function is PwC Indonesia partner/technical adviser Sacha Winzenried (pictured). He is the Energy, Utilities & Mining Leader for PwC Indonesia and has more than 20 years’ experience providing advice to the mining and energy sectors in the Asia Pacific region, including more than 15 years in Indonesia.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Indonesian Mining Association and is responsible for the preparation of PwC’s annual survey of the Indonesian mining industry performed in conjunction with the Indonesian Mining Association and the Indonesian Coal Mining Association. He has written articles and presented papers on investment in the mining sector at a number of conferences and investment forums in Indonesia and the region.
MMI, publishers of The ASIA Miner, formed the clubs in April 2014. The Djakarta Mining Club meets in Jakarta while Coal Club Indonesia meets at various coal mining centres around Indonesia.
