Geopacific Resources has encountered spectacular results from the third drill hole into targets identified by an Induced Polarity (IP) Ground Geophysics Program at its Kou Sa Copper Project. The hole has confirmed the area as a new zone of copper mineralization.
Highlights from the hole are 7.4 metres from 65.3 metres @ 6.89% copper equivalent, including 3.6 metres from 67.4 metres @ 11.53% copper equivalent.
Geopacific’s managing director Ron Heeks says, “This is a spectacular copper result at Kou Sa. The association between IP chargeability, geochemistry and mineralization from the small footprint currently drilled highlight the potential of the Kou Sa Project. The hole is the third mineralized hole drilled into the IP anomaly west of Prospect 100 and confirms this area as a new zone of copper mineralization.”
The diamond hole was drilled to test the up-dip zone of the IP chargeability anomaly and was 40 metres west of another hole. The deeper part of the zone which has the largest IP chargeability response will be drilled shortly. Diamond drilling is also under way east of prospect 160 testing further IP chargeability anomalies.
