Technology in mining is always changing and evolving. Whether you work in mobile maintenance in the workshop, operating a haulage truck, overseeing PLC systems in the plant or monitoring security on site – there’s always a new technology being lauded as the new best thing to happen to mining.
The mining industry has gone through some volatile and turbulent times over the past 18 months, which has highlighted the importance of utilizing technology to improve operations, productivity and cost effectiveness as much as possible. Across the Asia Pacific region the different mining industries are at different maturity and innovation levels and the inaugural AusAsia-MinTech event to be held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Perth, Western Australia, on August 26 and 27 is bringing together all the major stakeholders to discuss cutting edge technology in mining across this region.
Presented by Asia’s largest mining magazine, The ASIA Miner, and the fastest growing online information portal, Mining IQ, this conference and exhibition will be a highlight of the 2014 mining event calendar.
The program has been created around the technology driven elements of the mining value chain and senior level executives from mining companies, engineering firms, government, and service providers will share case study examples of innovative and driving technology across:
- Underground mining
- Mine haulage
- Mineral processing
- Coal handling and storage
- Asian investment and money mining
- Infrastructure development
- Operational excellence
The program includes presentations by mining companies from across the Asia Pacific such as Sumatra Copper & Gold, Aspire Mining, Discovery Mining and Iluka Resources. To complement the 'real life examples' from mining companies, participants will also be able to hear from some of the key suppliers and providers for the mining sector, showcasing their products and services that are proven to create greater productivity, efficiency and overall operational excellence.
