Commissioning of Pilgangoora concentrator underway

Australian lithium developer Pilbara Minerals Limited announced that construction and power distribution at its its flagship 100%-owned Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project in WA is largely complete, allowing commissioning to begin and first concentrate production to take place by the end of June 2018.

Rio Tinto and Minmetals formalise joint venture

Rio Tinto and Minmetals have formalised a Joint Venture Contract to establish a 50:50 joint venture to explore for world-class mineral deposits in China. It follows a Technical Collaboration Contract signed in November 2017 when both companies committed to a collaborative partnership in mineral exploration.
