Anchor Resources has been granted approval for underground mining and development works at the Lubuk Mandi Gold Project in Terengganu state, Malaysia. Trial mining will begin at the project in mid-November.

Erdene extends drilling in Mongolia

Continued drilling success at the Altan Nar and Bayan Khundii gold projects in southern Mongolia has prompted Erdene Resource Development Corp to significantly increase its 2017 drilling program. The company now plans 33,000 metres of drilling, up from the original 24,000 metres.

Agreement on Northern Rail study

Aspire Mining and its subsidiary Northern Railways LLC have entered into a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China Gezhouba Group International Company Limited (CGGC) to advance the Erdenet-Ovoot Railway Project as part of the Northern Rail Corridor in Mongolia. Under the MOU, CGGC has agreed to complete the second and final stage of a bankable feasibility study by March 31, 2018.
