Red Mountain Mining has made a new bonanza high grade gold discovery of 2.6 metres at 28.6 grams/tonne from trenching at the Lobo prospect of its Batangas Gold Project in southern Luzon.
Deccan Gold Mines has commenced drilling at the Ganajur-Karajgi block in Karnataka. The block is part of the Ganajur Gold Project which Deccan says comprises at least 308,000 ounces of gold deposits.
Chinese firms Chenhui Minerals Ltd and South China Mining Energy Company, which had previously applied to operate an ailing state-owned enterprise, have committed to inject about 2 billion Nepalese rupees (about US$20 million) each to run the factory.
Indochine Mining is close to completing the key Landowner Investigation Study (LIS) at its Mt Kare Gold Project. This requires a ground survey of the location of the land boundaries amongst the clans identified in the LIS and will be included in the final submission of the Landowner Investigation Report.
