KYRGYZ REPUBLIC - New road infrastructure

Recent announcements from the Kyrgyz Republic Government have added to Celsius Coal Limited’s coal transport and market access options. The Government has announced that Chinese funding of US$400 million is available for construction of the first phase of a new north-south road transport route.

INDIA - Sesa Goa resumes Karnataka operations

Sesa Sterlite Limited, formerly Sesa Goa, has received permission from the Honourable Supreme Court appointed Monitoring Committee to resume mining at its Karnataka iron ore mine. Accordingly, the company commenced mining operations in late December in accordance with stipulated conditions.

CHINA - Coal businesses to be spun-off

The Board of Directors of China Natural Resources, a natural resources company based in China, has approved the spin-off and listing by way of introduction on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Feishang Anthracite Resources Limited, which operates the company’s coal mining and related businesses.
