Majestic Gold Corp is reviewing operations at its Songjiagou Gold Project in Shandong province in an effort to more fully realize the potential of the mine. The company expects the review process will be completed during the third quarter of 2014, with the implementation of any necessary changes to begin during the fourth quarter.

KYRGYZ REPUBLIC - Centerra expects up to 600,000 ounces

Centerra estimates that the Kumtor Gold Project will produce between 550,000 and 600,000 ounces in 2014 and, similar to 2013, more than 50% of this production is expected during the fourth quarter when mining will reach the high-grade section of the SB Zone.

NEW ZEALAND - Extension request for Talisman agreement

New Talisman Gold Mines has received a formal letter of request for an extension to the signed Heads of Agreement (HoA) with St Albans Pty Ltd dated December 12, 2013. The formal request is for 90 days from the date of the signed agreement to allow completion of definitive agreements and technical due diligence.

PAKISTAN - No Objection Certificate for coal block

Oracle Coalfields, the UK-based coal developer of a 1.4 billion tonne lignite resource in the south-eastern desert of Sindh Province announces that a No Objection Certificate was issued by the Environmental Protection Agency Government of Sindh on January 17 for the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Block VI of the Thar Coalfield submitted in 2013 concerning its environmental plan.
