PHILIPPINES - Toledo expansion almost up to speed

Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corp expects the expanded Toledo Copper Project in Cebu will be in full swing in March after initial tests yielded positive results.  The expansion will increase daily milling capacity of the existing plant by 50% to 60,000 tonnes.

MONGOLIA - Prophecy pleased with production

After resuming mining operations at Ulaan Ovoo Coal Project in early November 2013, Prophecy Coal Corp produced 66,869 tonnes of coal in the December quarter and sold 69,296 tonnes. The stockpile balance at the start of the quarter was 98,499 tonnes and at the end of the quarter it was 96,036 tonnes.

SOLOMON ISLANDS - Axiom acquires West Guadalcanal

ASX-listed Axiom Mining has acquired the West Guadalcanal project that is prospective for epithermal gold-silver and porphyry copper-gold mineralization. The project has been explored sporadically, initially for copper and more latterly for gold, and Axiom believes the area remains under-explored.

KYRGYZ REPUBLIC - Robust to raise funds for purchase

ASX-listed Robust Resources intends to raise Aus$25.5 million through a non-renounceable entitlement issue to fund the purchase of the Talas Gold-Copper Project in the Kyrgyz Republic. Funds will also be used for further exploration and development on the company's tenements.
