Red 5 has resumed milling operations at Siana Gold Project with 64,902 tonnes processed and 6345 ounces of gold produced to the end of February. The average mill head grade of processed ore was 3.49 grams/tonne at an average gold recovery of 89.5%.

The company says commissioning of the new thickener and re-commissioning of the process plant is progressing well. Ore production for February was 45,607 tonnes at an average grade of 3.53 grams/tonne at an average gold recovery of 89.5%.
Gold sales have also resumed with approximately 2500 ounces delivered on the first shipment.

Mining activities have concentrated on progressing the final push-back of the western wall of the open pit with an estimated 325,000 tonnes of waste removed from this area by the end of February. At that time an estimated 130,000 tonnes of ore at 2.46 grams/tonne gold remained stockpiled.

Red 5 said that it expected to return to mining ore during April.
