PT Techenomics Indonesia has begun work on a major contract testing diesel fuel for the KPC mine site in Sangatta. The contract was won by the company in June last year.

The company’s general manager of Indonesian operations, Freddy Tamara, says the contract will run for two years and involves the performance of various services including counting diesel fuel quantity and testing its quality.

“Our role is to survey all the diesel fuel that comes into KPC area ports, to audit the right quantity according to the manifest. The sample then has to be subjected to testing to see whether the diesel fuel quality meets with the required standard. The result of the audit quantity and testing quality determines whether the diesel fuel delivered will be accepted by KPC.”

PT Techenomics Indonesia tests the quality and quantity of fuel at Port Bengalon for unloading barge activity, Port Tanjung Bara for unloading vessel activity, and conducts monthly stock inventory control for diesel fuel at all diesel fuel storage tanks in the KPC Sangatta area.

The company is responsible for survey supervision of about 50,000kl of diesel fuel per month.
