The 2013 Austmine Conference and Exhibition has opened its doors in Perth, drawing hundreds of mining industry executives from across the world to see for themselves Australia’s inspiring, technology leading, global mining innovation.
The four-day (May 20-24) Austmine (Australian Export Association of Mining Technology and Services) event is being held at Perth’s Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The event promises to bring together the best products in the market with the most pressing challenges in the mining sector around the globe today. Presentations will be delivered by innovators in the industry, including talks by Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Newcrest, Gold Fields (South Africa) and OceanaGold.
Organizers say the program includes topic areas which will focus on the role that technology and innovation can play in improving operational effectiveness, creating global supply chains and workforce safety. Break-out sessions on some of the emerging mining markets will focus on opportunities, logistical challenges, and Governmental requirements.
