Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt Ltd (HCEIPL), the manufacturers of technically advanced excavators in India, has launched the R80-7 Salt - India’s first excavator solely designed for salt application. Designed & manufactured at its plant in Pune, the excavator is being produced specifically for Indian customers.

Anti-rust coating, exclusive bucket for salt application and less ground bearing pressure are the key features of the excavator. The excavator is studded with other important specifications like:

  • Anti-Rust Coating - Machine is fully coated with resin based rust preventive material
  • Exclusive Bucket - 0.7 cubic metre bucket for salt application
  • Wider Track Shoe - 600mm track show with less ground bearing pressure
  • Casted Counterweight - Solid dead weight that does not blister due to rusting
  • Sealed Electric Connectors - IP69 fully sealed connectors with no terminal rusting
  • Track Tension - Spring coated with special purpose elastic paint.

With the launch of R80-7 Salt we are targeting to expand the market in the salt segment and develop a unique identity to this segment by 2014.”

The R80-7 Salt excavator is well equipped to minimize fuel consumption by 15% and maintenance costs by 25%. Hyundai excavators are gaining popularity in all the segments in India, be it Mining, Infrastructure, Power, Irrigation or General excavation.
