US-based mining equipment manufacturer Trio Engineered Products has opened its fourth production facility in response to significant world-wide sales growth. It is the company’s second manufacturing plant to be built in California with others in Alabama and Florida.
The new facility in Adelanto is set to help expand Trio’s material handling equipment portfolio as well as providing expansive fabrication capacity. Thirty new jobs have been created in the local community, bringing the company’s total workforce to almost 1000 staff with industry experience and technical expertise.
Trio’s chief executive officer Mike Burke says further expansion plans are being discussed. “We expect more expansion in the near future as we work to meet increasing demand in the US and abroad. “Trio continues to grow as a manufacturer of mineral processing equipment for the aggregate, mining, recycling and mineral industries.”
Trio’s main office and warehousing facility is in Irwindale, California which supplies distributors and end-users in the western hemisphere, while its Birmingham, Alabama warehouse provides customer support for the eastern states.
The company has established two facilities in Shanghai, China, to fabricate and engineer its products. More than 450 people work in the two facilities which take in more than 280,000 square feet of production space.
Trio’s Miami and Delhi offices support customers throughout the Latin America and Middle East regions, while its Portlaoise office in Ireland services existing clients and a growing network of distributors in the European market.
