The world’s first artificially intelligent dust control and management system has been launched by Australian atmospheric air quality modelling & forecasting and climate change research consultants ATMOS Global. The company says its new DustAlert+ early warning system is a breakthrough in environmental dust control and management in mining.
ATMOS says the system will help mining operations anywhere in the world reduce the environmental impacts of their dust emissions.
Drier climatic conditions, water shortages, higher environmental standards and the increase in the public concern about the environment in recent years have inspired the mining industry to explore new methods of dust control.
DustAlert+ works in tandem, interconnected with the ATMOS-5DTM system to issue customized and detailed early warnings (a few days in advance) for dust emissions that have the potential to affect sensitive receptors.

The system uses a series of unique and proprietary algorithms that facilitate the decision optimization process for dust management. It can also be used to control and manage fugitive dust emissions for operations specific to the manufacturing and energy industries.
