Three new processing flotation plants acquired by non-ferrous metals company China Shen Zhou Mining and Resources are on track to begin production during the next month.
In January and February this year the company acquired 60% ownership of two Chinese companies through its subsidiary Xiangzhen Mining. Wuchuan Dongsheng Mining and Qianshi Resources Development are both located in the Wuling mountain area in Guizhou province.
Wuchuan Mining’s fluorite processing flotation plant in Duru town and the fuorite-barite processing flotation plant in Fenshui town have both passed the necessary inspections.
Monthly production of fluorite at the Duru plant is 2000 tonnes while monthly production of fluorite powder and barite powder at the Fenshui plant is 1500 tonnes each.
The Huangtu processing flotation plant originally owned by Qianshi Resources is on schedule to start production this month, with monthly output of 1000 tonnes of fluorite powder.
China Shen Zhou’s chief executive officer Xiaojing Yu says, “The rapid transition to production at these plants is highly encouraging and reassures us that these facilities have the capabilities to deliver on our expectations.
“Our strategy is to leverage the fluorite-barite ore separation and processing technology of the plants to further develop the Wuling Mountains fluorite-barite resources and create a barite mining processing chain. Eventually, our goal is to establish the largest fluorite-barite deep processing centre in China.”
