The latest mining industry exhibition to offer significant business opportunities within the US$32 billion Indonesian mining sector will open its doors this week (October 10-12) at Jakarta’s Convention Centre. Mining & Engineering (M&E) Indonesia 2012 is a two-day exhibition where more than 1000 industry representatives will establish contacts, learn about Indonesia’s mining developments and source innovative solutions in the minerals processing chain.
Indonesia is the world’s second largest tin and nickel producer and one of the top coal exporters with total production set to reach 529 million tonnes by 2015. Major players including BHP Billiton and Banpu are driving some of the massive expansions in the region, prompting forecast growth in the mining equipment market during the next few years. This boom is corresponding with the increasing number of global mining companies entering the Indonesian market.
Among the companies registered to showcase their products is Australian conveyor belt company IDS, which will showcase its IBIS-FM conveyor belt. Beijing’s Yuejitongli Machine Manufacturing company is bringing its range of belt conveyors to the exhibition, including its long distance overland conveyor, underground belt conveyor system with explosion proof, shiftable belt conveyor system, U type belt conveyor, pipe conveyor and walled belt conveyor.
Indonesia’s own Linindo Pacific International Group will showcase its Candelux product range and China’s Excellence Pump Industry company is exhibiting its slurry pump’s uses in coal washer processing and handling fly ash in thermal power stations.
Key discussion topics have been programmed into the agenda, including the blueprint for the future of mining in Indonesia, the role of resource industries in sustainable economic development and the country’s coal policy outlook.
