The inaugural Mining Vietnam will be held from March 7-9, 2012, at the International Centre for Exhibition in Hanoi. The exhibition is being co-organized by VCCI Exhibition Services and Allworld Exhibitions Alliance and is expected to attract exhibiting companies with the latest technology, products and services from around the world.
Mining Vietnam will follow the proven formula of Mining Indonesia which has been organized by Allworld Exhibitions for more than 30 years. The exhibition will create investment and business matching opportunities for thousands of enterprises, including Vietnam.
Attracted by Vietnam’s reputation as one of the fastest developing economies in the region and the vast potential of the mining and minerals recovery industry, the organizers decided the time was right to bring this exhibition to Hanoi.
This exhibition is strongly supported by government organizations and leading industry enterprises, including The Ministry of Industry and Trade, The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (VINACOMIN) and many other local and international exhibiting companies and mining trade associations.
Vice Minister of Industry and Trade and VINACOMIN’s CEO Le Duong Quang says, “The Ministry of Industry and Trade applaud the organizers, local and international exhibiting companies for their effort towards the success of this event. This exhibition will be an excellent platform for related companies and professionals to explore new investment and market development opportunities. As an official supporting organization, we warmly welcome Mining Vietnam 2012 and believe that this exhibition will be an ideal avenue for enterprise successes.”
Vietnam is well endowed with a wide variety of quality mineral deposits. There are some 200 coal mines with a total reserve of almost 7 billion tonnes. Other exciting mineral potential include iron ore, chromites, copper, tin, wolfram, gold, lead, zinc, uranium, antimony, rare earth, gems, limestone and clay.
VCCI Exhibition Services chief executive Ms Bui Thi Thuc Anh says, “Mining Vietnam 2012 will be a networking opportunity for industry leaders, both local and international, to come together to form strategic alliances. The event will allow participating exhibitors, conference delegates and industry stakeholders to address urgent demands from the mining industry in Vietnam and compare the latest technologies, equipment and expertise. Alongside the exhibition, a high-level conference program will support the government’s strategy to modernize the mining industry to meet regional standards by 2015 and international standards by 2025.”
