Conveyor specialist Kinder & Co will demonstrate its latest conveying technology, a modular polyurethane lining system, and a motor cover for coal preparation and minerals processing plants on Stand 5711 during AIMEX – Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition 2011, to be held at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush, from September 6-9.
The company’s fully operational, mobile conveyor display unit features:
- Motorized head pulley
- Primary, secondary and plow belt cleaners
- Impact and standard-weight belt support and variable skirting arrangements
- Tecweigh belt scale
- Tru-Trac return trainer
- Belt RIP detector
- Safety pull arrangements
- Belt drift switches
- Wing-style tail pulley
- Spiral return roller.
Kinder’s K-Redi Liner modular polyurethane lining provides an ozone and ultraviolet resistant, lightweight, easy-to-install and durable system.
According to managing director Neil Kinder, the result was long-lasting wear protection for transfer points, chute areas, screen discharge points and bins.
The system was suited to low-impact material handling applications requiring high abrasion and good slip characteristics such as under chutes and in feeders and hoppers, he said.
Kinder will also feature its K-MotorShield motor covers at AIMEX. Designed to protect electric motors from dust and thus reduce maintenance and repair bills, the K-MotorShield is NEMA-specified and is particularly suited to coal preparation and minerals processing plants. It does not require clamps or fittings and simply clips on to a motor housing. The covers are also designed to guard motors from fine powder, slurry and spillage particles.
