Australia’s coal industry is constantly evolving and the seventh Coaltrans Australia in Brisbane, Queensland, on August 22 and 23 will give participants an opportunity to keep abreast of the changing coal environment. The event will be held at the Sofitel Brisbane.
A selection of top level industry figures will discuss the recovery of Australia’s coal infrastructure from severe floods as well as key developments going forward. Speakers include Adani Group corporate planning president Harsh V Mishra, Mineralogy chairman Clive Palmer, NSW Minerals Council chief executive officer Nikki Williams and QR National Coal executive vice president and CEO coal operations Marcus McAuliffe.
The conference will also address the changing landscape of Australia’s thermal coal section, including how developments in the Surat and Galilee basins in Queensland are set to affect markets, and will examine the shifting supply and demand dynamics across the Asia Pacific, including the impact of phenomenal growth in Chinese and Indian demand, combined with the emergence of other coal exporters.
