Intrepid Mines has received exceptional assays from ongoing drilling at the copper-gold zone of the Tumpangpitu area of the Tujuh Bukit Project.
The latest result is 676 metres from 342 metres @ 1.00 grams/tonne gold and 0.54% copper, including several higher grade intercepts such as 56 metres @ 3.58 grams/tonne gold and 1% copper from 694 metres, 30 metres from 638 metres @ 1.65 grams/tonne gold and 1.03% copper, and 4 metres from 1074 metres @ 0.40 grams/tonne gold, 0.43% copper and 472ppm molybdenum.
Other results from the hole include 12 metres from 170 metres @ 0.13 grams/tonne gold, 0.41% copper, 4ppm molybdenum and 51ppm arsenic; 6 metres from 18 metres @ 0.40 grams/tonne gold and 209ppm arsenic; and 42 metres from 118 metres @ 0.31 grams/tonne gold, 4ppm moly and 29ppm arsenic. The hole ended in weak gold mineralization.
The lower half of the drill hole has tested zones defined in the recent resource estimate as high and low confidence geological potential. It, therefore, will add to the currently defined resource.
Intrepid’s CEO Brad Gordon says, “This is a very significant result for our drilling program at Tumpangpitu. It adds still greater confidence to our belief we will be able to grow the resource in areas of previously defined geological potential. These latest assay results are exceptional and once again eclipse previous ‘best holes’ to deliver our best result to date on the project.”
