A new-look website launched by Shell Lubricants will allow user to navigate their way to finding the right lubricant and grease for their specifications.

The LubeMatch site boasts easy-to-digest layouts and user-friendly navigation to recommend the best choice of lubricants and greases for specific industrial, off-highway and agricultural applications. It also provides guidance on the relative benefits of different Shell products.

The company says this allows maintenance professionals to identify the lubricants that will provide additional performance benefits or address specific problems, and in turn reduce the associated downtime and maintenance costs.

The website is delivered through a global platform available across 120 countries and in 26 languages, making it the most comprehensive and integrated lubricant selection tool available from any of the major oil companies.

Shell Lubricants’ global brand manager Louise Horobin says, “Many of our customers recognise the importance of correct lubricant choice and application, but lack the time to keep up-to-date with the latest products. Customers can search by equipment type, make and model and access links to technical and safety data sheets for more detail.

The redesign of the site follows the increasing popularity of the original tool, which received over 7 million hits in its launch year in 2010.
