FLEXCO’S exhibit at Mining Indonesia 2013 in Jakarta in September addressed splicing, cleaning, tracking and belt slippage needs. It included live demonstrations and giveaways, and was well received by those who attended Indonesia’s largest mining exhibition.
The products displayed included mechanical belt fastener systems, cleaners, Flexco Safe maintenance tools, impact beds and lagging. Visitors were able to view live demonstrations featuring Flexco mechanical belt fastener systems and were also invited to try their hand at installation and maintenance with guidance from the Flexco experts on hand.
Flexco® SR™ fasteners and the Pneumatic Single Rivet Driver were among the product featured during the demonstrations. The Pneumatic Single Rivet Driver speeds installation of SR fasteners by up to 33%. A single trigger pull per rivet saves both time and reduces worker fatigue. Collated rivets with washers and a specially-designed steel guide block assure that each trigger pull contributes to a consistent splice.
The PT Max™ belt trainer was also on display at the show, offering a patented design that combines pivoting and tilting movements. With pivot/tilt action, the PT Max applies greater belt tracking discipline than conventional pivot-only belt-steering devices, correcting even the most stubborn tracking problems on high-volume, high-tension belts.
Exhibition attendees were also among the first to see the new Flex-Lag® Medium Ceramic Pulley Lagging. The lagging features 39% ceramic tile coverage and is an economical choice for use in wet and muddy applications where slippage is a concern. The new lagging offers excellent abrasion resistance and works on a wide range of pulleys.
Flexco is able to address almost any conveyor challenge – from slippage and spillage, to mistracking and wear and tear, to safety and environmental concerns. Even after a belt is up and running, Flexco stays involved to ensure that its products are delivering the top-notch performance needed for maximum productivity.
Flexco staff gave away items including travel bags, polo tees, notebooks, pens, and more to those who participated in the exciting challenges at the booth.
