Blackrock Gold has appointed Tony Wood as an Independent Director to serve on the Company’s Board.

Tony Wood currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Aurania Resources Inc.

Mr Wood’s executive experience includes oversight of finance and operations of various publicly-traded exploration, development and production staged resource companies. Over the last 20 years, he has successfully completed close to US$1billion in financing and M&A transactions in the mining industry.

William (Bill) Howald has also been appointed as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company.

Mr Howald is a successful entrepreneur who founded several public companies and led the exploration division of a major mining company. He has extensive experience building effective exploration teams and delivering quality resources.

Anna Nahajski-Staples
Condemine Resources

Condamine Resources has appointed a new Executive Director, Ms Anna Nahajski-Staples.

Ms Nahajski-Staples has spent over 20 years consulting to various listed companies in a corporate advisory capacity.

In addition to working as an investment banker in the US, Ms Nahajski-Staples has held a number of board and strategic advisory positions, most recently focusing on raising capital from Europe for ASX and TSX-listed resource companies.

Further, the Company’s previous Managing Director and Mining Engineer, Mr Don Harper, has become a Non-Executive Director.

 

Dingo

Dingo, the global leader in predictive maintenance software, announced the appointment of Susan Warby as Chief Executive Officer.

Reporting to the board of directors, she assumes responsibility for the management and operations of the company.

An accomplished commercial leader, Ms Warby is tasked with accelerating growth, building on an established customer-focused culture, and leading the company to capitalise on emerging opportunities in the fast-growing predictive maintenance sector.

Ms Warby succeeds the organisation’s longstanding CEO, Paul Higgins.

Mr Higgins will transition to Executive Chairman of the board and will continue to strategically guide the organisation working closely with Ms Warby.

DSC Dredge

Christina Bolling was named Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of DSC Dredge.

Ms Bolling was promoted after serving five years as DSC Dredge Corporate Human Resources Director where she fostered an integrated culture throughout DSC headquarters and two production facilities in Greenbush, Michigan and Poplarville, Mississippi, USA.

Ms Bolling’s background experience of Human Resources, Leadership Development and Operations provide substantial knowledge and expertise as she reinforces each DSC department’s performance to be the best of their abilities.

 

Kinross Gold Corporation

Kinross Gold Corporation made changes to its senior leadership structure, with the Company streamlining its senior leadership team.

Lauren Roberts, Senior Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, and Gina Jardine, Senior Vice-President, Human Resources are leaving the Company by mutual agreement. Paul Tomory will now be Executive Vice-President and Chief Technical Officer and broaden his portfolio to take on leadership of regional operations.

The Kinross senior leadership team now includes Paul Rollinson, President and CEO; Geoff Gold, Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development and External Relations, and Chief Legal Officer; Paul Tomory, Executive-Vice President and Chief Technical Officer; and Andrea Freeborough, Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Human Resources has been re-structured to align more closely with operations and corporate responsibilities.

 

Lindian Resources

Lindian Resources has appointed experienced bauxite executive Mr Shannon Green as Managing Director, effective immediately.

Mr Green has over 20 years’ resource development and mining operations experience, having managed several world-class resource project developments and mines, including a number of Australia’s largest iron ore mining operations.

Mr Green also has extensive experience working in Guinea, having held the roles of General Manager Project Delivery with Alliance Mining Commodities (2012-2015) and Consultant Project Director with Alcoa Global Mining on the CBG Expansion Project during 2015.

Helen Coonan
Minerals Council of Australia

The Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) has announced that former federal cabinet minister Helen Coonan will replace Vanessa Guthrie as the organisation’s new chair.

Ms Coonan has been appointed to the position for the next two years. Her selection follows an extensive process involving the company’s board and chief executive officer, which concluded in early May.

 

Orminex

The Company is pleased to announce that Michael Foulds, current co-owner of GBF and major shareholder of Orminex will join the Board of Orminex as a Non-Executive Director once the sale of GBF to Macmahon is completed.

Mr Ross Graham, also a current co-owner of GBF and major shareholder of Orminex, will also be appointed as an Alternate Director to Michael once the sale of GBF to Macmahon is completed.

 

Perseus Mining

Daniel Lougher was appointed as non-executive Director with Perseus Mining.

Mr Lougher has more than 35 years of experience involving a range of exploration, feasibility, development, operations and corporate roles with Australian and international mining companies.

His appointment brings the total number of Perseus directors to six, including four independent, non-executive directors.

Mr Lougher will also serve as chair of the board’s technical committee.

Rio Tinto

Rio Tinto Group executive Joanne Farrell has decided to retire after nearly 32 years with Rio Tinto and will leave the company at the end of September 2019.

Joanne joined Rio Tinto in 1987 and has worked in a variety of roles across human resources, health, safety, communities and environment, before joining the Rio Tinto Executive Committee as Group executive, Health, Safety & Environment and Managing Director, Australia in July 2016.

 

Saracen Mineral Holdings

Saracen Mineral Holdings has appointed John Richards to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director, effective 1 May 2019.

Sydney-based Mr Richards is an economist with more than 35 years’ experience in the resources industry. During this time, he has held strategy and business development positions in mining companies and has worked in investment banks and private equity groups. He has been involved in a wide range of mining M&A transactions in multiple jurisdictions.

Mr Richards’ previous positions include head of strategy and business development at Normandy Mining, Head of Mining and Metals Advisory (Australia) at Standard Bank, Managing Director at Buka Minerals Ltd and Operating Partner at GNRI.

A senior mining engineer and manager, Mr Lynch has more than 30 years’ experience in the global industry, including posts with leading resources companies MIM Holdings, New Hope Corporation, VLI Pty Ltd and Orica Limited, during which time he was responsible for multi‐million-dollar international operations.
